At its annual luncheon, the Auxiliary of Glen Cove Hospital presented administrators of the hospital with a $50,000 check, with funds earmarked for the hospital’s Breast Care Program, Rehab South and patient blanket warmers. Volunteer members of the Auxiliary generously contribute more than 40,000 hours of service each year in a variety of capacities to hospital departments, programs and patients. The large donation was made possible by numerous fundraisers organized by the Auxiliary and sales from the hospital’s gift shop, which is operated by volunteers.
