Rebecca “Becca Boo” Salmins and her mom, Sherry, were visited by NY Giant Eli Manning while Becca was undergoing treatment. Eli has been Tackle Kids Cancer’s most valuable player from the creation of Eli’s Challenge driving community support, to spending time with patients while they are in the hospital. Eli’s continued commitment has helped raise more than $4 million for Tackle Kids Cancer.
Tackle Kids Cancer, a philanthropic program benefitting the Children’s Cancer Institute at Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center will receive a generous donation of $7,000 from a young girl and her family who started an online bracelet and accessory retail shop that donates a portion of its proceeds towards the fight to end childhood cancer.

Rebecca “Becca Boo” Salmins was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of six. She went through 26 months of intense treatment under the care of Frances Flug, M.D., director of the Pediatric Hematology Program at the Children’s Cancer Institute, before being declared cancer-free in November of 2016.

Knots & Arrows was founded by Becca and her dad, Gerhard, also a cancer survivor. 10 percent of every sale goes to a childhood cancer charity, while another 10 percent of every sale goes directly to a childhood cancer family in-need to assist with treatment costs and expenses. Becca and her family will present a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the bracelets and accessories to the Children’s Cancer Institute and the Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation.
