Waveny Invites Public To Attend “The Hammersteins: A Musical Theatre Family” With Oscar Hammerstein III

Oscar Hammerstein III, grandson of Oscar Hammerstein II of Rodgers and Hammerstein fame, will present on his family’s history and influence upon American musical theatre at a free community event at The Village at Waveny on September 28.
On Thursday, September 28, Waveny LifeCare Network invites the public to join Oscar Hammerstein III – grandson of Oscar Hammerstein II of Rodgers and Hammerstein fame, and author of "The Hammersteins" – for a special evening in celebration of the history and happenings that paved the foundation of American musical theatre.

Complete with family stories, professional highlights, scandals and tragedies, Mr. Hammerstein will recount a multi-layered portrait of the Hammerstein legacy, told in his own words.

This free community event, which is open to the public, will be held on “Main Street” at The Village at Waveny. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and a light supper will be offered until a prompt 5:30 p.m. program start.
